365

Haven't updated in a while, so I figured I'd go ahead and let the internets know what I'm up to.

I've started a 365 , which is a series of self portraits that are taken every day over the course of a year. I haven't been too inventive with it, yet. Just usually tired from work and unmotivated. Here are a few that I dig so far->

Happy Halloween!!

Had an okay Halloween weekend. Fright night was a good time, at least after Gordy and I stopped argueing about what party to go to >:0. I have photos from Friday, but I can't seem to load them from my little crapper camera.. only have the ones from my SLR.

I was a black bunny :). Joey said I was creepy :/. Haha. Gordy was the serial killer, Dexter Morgan from the show 'Dexter'.

Went to Joey's party where almost everyone's costumes were hand sewn except ours. Freaking talented people :). After Joey's we headed to Gaspar's where good times were had. Mmhmm.

Saturday was pretty hectic and kind of a let down..Had to paint skeletons on my dress and Gordy's shirt for our costumes, do our makeup and my hair. My eye wouldn't stop watering. :c So frustrating because of all the makeup. I ended up loving our costumes,though, but the party was disappointing. I can't handle zero A/C and humidity galore. I was getting in a mood. Luckily my friends Amy and Colby weren't feeling it either, so I had company in my misery. ahah. Eventually I got Gordy to leave and we went to Steak and Shake.. It took and hour to be seated and served.. and then my food was cold. What a bummer. At least I have amazing friends to spend the night suffering with.

Now I have Gordy excited for next Halloween :). I'm already thinking of sweet costumes.

2009 can suck it.

A bad year so far. Feeling stupid, guilty, gross, dirty, and so on.


..I'm working on it.

Rearrange Us

Went to Deltona on Sunday and shot in a dilapidated orange packaging plant. It was really gnarly, too bad cops came after I only shot a little more than 35 frames. Boo.

So, I'm trying to make my photos a little more distressed, washed, discoloured looking. I'm so sick of shooting on a white wall that I just want every photo to be gritty and torn. :/

Stylist was Kayleigh Hayes with Rearrange Us Webstore. Kayleigh did all the makeup and hair as well. She rocks so hard. If you want to buy clothing from her, her website isn't up, yet, but I believe it will be rearrangeus.com or something? I'll update when I know :).

So happy with my photos from Emily. She really is a supremely creative photog.
We shot in the USF Fine Arts studio. Wish I had a real studio instead of my hizzy.
Any way, I was kind of nervous, but I think I did alright :). I'm sure confidence comes with practice. :)
